Last updated: 03/01/2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all psychology services provided by Dr Jacqueline Geddes, HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, at Geddes Wellbeing Studio.

By booking or attending any psychology appointment, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms below.

1. Psychology Services

Psychology services include (but are not limited to):

  • Initial consultations

  • Psychological assessment sessions

  • Ongoing therapy sessions

  • Report writing and professional correspondence (where agreed)

All psychology services are provided independently from any Reiki or wellbeing services offered at Geddes Wellbeing Studio.

2. Initial Consultation

A free 15-minute consultation is offered to explore whether the service is a good fit.

  • This consultation does not constitute therapy or assessment.

  • No obligation to proceed is assumed following the consultation.

3. Bookings & Payment

  • Payment is required in advance to confirm psychology appointments.

  • Appointments are considered provisionally held until payment is received.

  • If payment is not completed within the agreed timeframe, the appointment may be released.

For ongoing work, payment arrangements will be agreed clearly and confirmed in writing.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling.

  • Cancellations made with more than 48 hours’ notice will not incur a charge.

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, or non-attendance, will be charged at the full session fee.

  • Late arrival may shorten the session, but the full fee still applies.

This policy exists to protect clinical time and ensure fair access for other clients.

5. Online & In-Person Sessions

Sessions may be offered in person or remotely, as agreed.

For online sessions, clients are responsible for ensuring a private, stable, and confidential environment.

Technical difficulties outside the clinician’s control may limit the session and are not grounds for refund.

6. Confidentiality & Information Sharing

Psychology services are confidential and adhere to HCPC and UK professional standards.

Confidentiality may only be broken where there is a legal or ethical duty to do so (e.g. risk of serious harm).

Further details are outlined in the Psychology Privacy Policy.

7. Suitability & Responsibility

  • Clients are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information that may affect their care.

  • Psychological therapy may involve emotional discomfort as part of the therapeutic process.

  • Psychology services are not an emergency service.

If you are in crisis, appropriate emergency services should be contacted.

8. Reports & Written Work

  • Report writing, letters, or professional correspondence are provided only where agreed in advance.

  • Report writing is charged separately and based on time required.

  • Timescales and fees will be discussed and confirmed before work begins.

9. Professional Boundaries

Psychology services are delivered within clear professional and ethical boundaries.

Contact outside sessions is limited to administrative matters unless otherwise agreed.

Psychology services are not combined with Reiki or wellbeing treatments.

10. Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically.

The most current version will always be available on the website.
